Portrait No.11 -Steph - "12 People I know"

Portrait No.11 has been wonderful to paint in the truest sense of the word. Steph is my 9 year old son and the person I love above all others in this world. He mirrors in the rawest sense so much of myself, it is both incredibly enlightening and often scary to behold. He has an honesty about him that to me is astounding. Within the process of painting him, my heart swelled and sometimes I thought it would burst..the texture of his skin that I know so well had me using the softest of brushes. I am incredibly blessed that he chose to be my son.
