Falling into Limerence..

Slowly slowly..
Finally it seems, I have time to experiment and explore and play...
Working on a new series for a solo next year.
For inspiration I invited a bunch of people I know and love to join me in my studio for an evening of madness and revelry. I asked that they all arrive dressed as the persona they would most like to be portrayed as in an artwork. True to their wonderful crazy natures, the all arrived dressed in a bizarre, wonderful collection of attire and as the evening progressed and the music got louder and the whisky bottles piled up, they embraced their characters, and the relationships between people became interesting and wayward. I photographed and filmed throughout the evening and got great references.
So the new series explores the relationships and dialogues that happen unexpectedly between people when given the chance to hide behind an idealised persona and lose much of of our vulnerabilities.
Once again, I have fallen in love with a project...for a while, always, when working on projects like these, it feels as if I have fallen into limerence, and my heart beats faster for the complete infatuation of it all...
